Events every weekend from November 25 to December 17

During the holiday season, Captiva Island will be aglow with fire dancing, bonfires and fireworks on the beach. The “village center”, with its one-of-a kind colorful restaurants and whimsical shops will be festively lighted and decorated.  Island fanfare will include musical performances by country music legends, opera singers, island balladeers, a songwriter or two and the most sensational Latin fusion dance band, this side of Havana .

Captiva Island, known as a sanctuary for creative people is celebrated for its beautiful beaches, wildlife-filled waters, family-friendly atmosphere, and quirky, relaxed way of life. This small, laid back “island village” has a variety of first class accommodations, including resorts, cottages, inns and home rentals.

Joyful sights and sounds will fill the beaches, bays and lanes of this quaint and cozy walk-able village.  Captiva Island will be on parade with a new theme each weekend. Decorated golf carts will roll, lighted boats will cruise, mullets will march, and street dancers will keep time with the rhythm of the Junkanoo. Come join the festivities.
